asian dream song & the eclipse

Hello all. I think I'm on a blogging binge because of the holidays, though I should be working... In any case, did anyone see the lunar eclipse yesterday (4am on the east coast)? It didn't get as dark as I suspected, but the moon took on a red hue for whatever reason.

my miserable attempt to capture the eclipse. Com'mon lumix.

Does anyone like 久石譲 (Hisaishi Jyou)? I actually don't know if that last character is correct. He's the composer and pianist for most, if not all, of the Studio Ghibli songs. My favorite is "asian dream song," which is not a part of any ghibli movie as far as I know. The second one I've posted down below is 風のとおり道 - which means, roughly, "the path on which the wind blows" and it is a song from となりのトトロ. Pay attention the celloist in the second vid in the second half of the video.

If you'd like any of his music, let me know.

  1. I WOULD MAKE PASSIONATE LOVE TO HISAISHI JO'S MUSIC FOR A DECADE.
    (yes, that's the right kanji)

Those vids you posted are awesome!! And I had no idea that there was a lunar eclipse! So Cal has been a douche and been uncooperatively cloudy and rainy for a whole week.

  2. Yes! Hisaishi Jyou is my hero. His music goes straight to the heart. For realz.

Yeah! I'm not sure if the eclipse was visible on the west coast. When I saw it, it wasn't so much the eclipse itself, but how it lit up the stars. They were blinding!!
